The Road to Recovery
There really is hope
How It All Began
My name is Annie, and this is my story.
I am a mother, wife and a grateful recovering addict. During my early adult years, I went through many trials and bad decision-making turning to substances. In 2002, I was involved in a fatal car accident leaving me severally injured, both physically and mentally. Through my recovery process and after many surgeries, I found myself addicted to pain pills, and eventually, daily heroin use. After years of numbing my emotional pain, I knew I needed help. I was fortunate to be able to reach out to my dad, who too is in recovery. With his love and support, he was able to find the best residential treatment available for me.
Annie’s House is a Steps Recovery facility exclusively for and run by women.
During that time, he became passionate about improving the techniques and programs we experienced. He started Steps Recovery Centers, treatment facilities that offer affordability, full family healing, and a lifetime care guarantee. Through the success in helping people at Steps, we determined together the need for a women-only facility. In 2014, Annie’s House was established. At Annie’s House, we are a safe facility where you and your family will be treated with respect and given the tools necessary to live a free and happy life free of substances.
I know first-hand that addiction is powerful, and it is real. But there is hope. If you are a woman struggling, please reach out. There are others that know the way that you are feeling and will understand what you are going through. Through my recovery process, I have found a new happiness, freedom, and way I live my life. I am grateful for what I was given and hope we can provide those that are suffering the same healing.
